You’ve all heard of NaNoWriMo, right? National Novel Writing Month?

I’m not doing that.

I suck at sticking to a writing schedule. I suck like Miguel Cephalopterous, Greek octopus cowboy (he likes drinking thick milkshakes).

Instead what I’m going to do is commit to producing a picture a day during November. No overarching topic, just a picture. It might be a pencil sketch, some ink work, something digital, whatever takes my fancy. I call it Neil’s Picture Drawing Month. NePiDrawMo.

The name pleases me greatly.

I’ve been a bit down recently, and have drawn NOTHING for far too long. The wonderful, fantastic Gabby has talked me into it, and has promised to cut off one of my toes for each day I miss. I think she’ll use secateurs. You know, for hygeine.

So, there you go. I’ve got a week and a bit of chilling out where I almost certainly won’t be playing the hell out of the new Batman game, no sir! Sorry Gabby, you know I dig you, but me and Bats have something special. I’m sure you’ll understand, given time.

If you’ve sent me a request which I’ve been too slack to do, I’m going to use them as daily pictures (except for Foalpapers commission, which needs more time. Sorry bud!) If you want to suggest something for me to draw, go to http://red-alliance.org/ask and go nuts! I’ll have a crack at most things, but I’ll warn you; I’m not drawing you any porn, I’ll simplify things if they’re too complicated and I could do with drawing things that’re non-pony (not that I’m averse to the odd pony pic, brony chums).

If you ask for something now, I’ll probably save it until November. That is, unless I feel particularly inspired!
